Kern Medical Wellness Program

Kern Medical’s Wellness Program is designed to make health care available and affordable to uninsured Kern County residents. The Kern Medical Wellness Program provides eligible patients treatment by some of the community’s top medical professionals for little or no cost at Kern Medical facilities.

The emphasis of this program is to provide wellness care aimed at getting patients healthy and keeping them that way, avoiding trips to the hospital, and attending to medical conditions before they worsen. Generic prescription medicines are included, as are lab services and visits to our clinics.

However, the Kern Medical Wellness Program is not a health insurance plan. As a wellness program, it offers limited access to health care but is not intended to replace medical insurance coverage. Please consult the program handbook and information to understand services provided through the Kern Medical Wellness Program.

Kern Medical Wellness Program services are only offered at Kern Medical Facilities, and it does not cover costs for providers or facilities outside of the designated Kern Medical clinics. Patients meeting the following eligibility criteria may qualify for the Kern Medical Wellness Program:
