Annual Breastfeeding Resource Fair

Kern Medical has partnered with numerous organizations to spread the word about breastfeeding in honor of World Breastfeeding Week.

Resources and information are available today for families visiting the Valley Plaza Mall. Kern Medical is encouraging moms to make the commitment to their babies to breastfeed, because breast is best.

WHAT: The Kern County Breastfeeding Coalition Annual Resource Health Fair

WHEN: Friday, August 3rd from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM

WHERE: The Valley Plaza Mall, 2701 Ming Avenue across from Motherhood Maternity near JC Penny

WHY: Honor World Breast Feeding Week with a resource fair encouraging Bakersfield moms to breastfeed

“This is an amazing opportunity to speak to families about the importance of breastfeeding,” says Marinda Du Toit, Clinical Director of Maternal-Child Department at Kern Medical. “At Kern Medical we know that breast is best and it is our mission to make sure all of our moms have the information and the support they need to make an informed choice about feeling their baby”.

Partnering organizations include CAPK, Kern County Department of Public Health, Clinica Sierra Vista, Kern Family Healthcare, First 5 of Kern and more. Join us in the east wing of the Valley Plaza near JC Penny and Motherhood Maternity today to learn more.
