FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Kern Medical Hosts “Flags Across America” Flag Raising Ceremony in Honor of Donate Life Month

Bakersfield, Calif. – April 04, 2019 – In observance of National Donate Life Month, Kern Medical will participate in the “Flags Across America” awareness campaign by hosting a Flag Raising Ceremony at Kern Medical’s main entrance on April 04, 2019. The event is in collaboration with Donate Life California, the organ and tissue donor registry of the state, and OneLegacy, an organ, eye and tissue recovery organization who serves Kern County and the greater Los Angeles area.

Where:  Kern Medical Main Entrance, 1700 Mount Vernon Avenue

Hear from Kern Medical’s leadership team and a recipient of an organ donation.

“It is our honor to partner with OneLegacy for this momentous occasion.  As Kern County’s only trauma center, Kern Medical knows firsthand the immediate impact organ donation can have on the life of a patient in need.” says Chief Nursing Office, Toni Smith. “While the circumstances that lead to donation can be tragic, from that great tragedy comes the gift of life.”
