Amin A. Ramzan, MD

About Dr. Ramzan

Dr. Amin Ramzan joined Kern Medical’s Obstetrics and Gynecology department in 2019, specializing in Gynecologic Oncology.

Dr. Ramzan completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed a pre-medical Postbaccalaureate program at Bennington College in Vermont and then attended medical school at the Keck School of Medicine at University of Southern California. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Los Angeles County Medical Center where he received the USC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident Research Award for Outstanding Research Endeavor. Additionally, he was awarded the USC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nurses’ Choice Award for Excellence in Patient Care.

Dr. Ramzan is a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, American College of Obtsetricians and Gynecologists, American College of SUrgeons and American Society of Clinical Oncology. He served as a Direct Services Associate for 2 years at the AIDS Project of Southern Vermont and as a Health Volunteer in the United States Peace Corps in Gambia. There, he founded the Suto Yediya Anti-Malarial Organization. Dr. Ramzan worked as a teacher/coordinator for 2 years at the Los Angeles Central Juvenile Hall. He has completed 6 marathons and enjoys camping and hiking.
