Ammar Ahmad, MD

About Dr. Ahmad

Dr. Ammar Ahmad is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Kern Medical.

Dr. Ahmad attended Stony Brook University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine. Dr. Ahmad was a Psychiatry Resident at Richmond University Medical Center in the Department of Psychiatry. He then completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship here at Kern Medical, a program affiliated with UCLA.

Dr. Ahmad has worked with a wide demographic of pediatric patients, ranging from ages 4 to 21. He has experience with a diverse array of psychopathology in multiple settings including the UCLA Child and Adolescent Inpatient Unit for eating disorders, the UCLA Partial Hospitalization Program, Oswell outpatient clinic for mental health disorders, Commonwealth Clinic with foster families, Blanton Academy as a school psychiatrist, the Consultation and Liaison service at Kern Medical, and the Mary K Shell Crisis Center.

At Kern Medical, Dr. Ahmad works with pediatric patients.
