About Dr. Mishra

Shikha Mishra, MD, is an Infectious Disease Specialist at Kern Medical.

Dr. Mishra is a board-certified physician in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. She currently serves as a Health Science Assistant Clinical Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA, and Associate Medical Director of the Valley Fever Institute.

Dr. Mishra earned her medical degree from Assam Medical College in India and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at McLaren Flint Hospital in Michigan. She then worked as a hospitalist before completing her Infectious Disease Fellowship at Kern Medical, where she remains deeply involved in both patient care and clinical research.

Dr. Mishra’s dedication to advancing the field is reflected in her active participation in research and academic presentations. As a key member of the Valley Fever Institute, she has contributed to multiple initiatives aimed at increasing awareness, improving diagnosis, and achieving better patient outcomes for coccidioidomycosis in Kern County’s endemic region.
