Dr. Matthew Palmbach is an Internal Medicine physician at Kern Medical dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients across a wide range of medical conditions.
Dr. Palmbach earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Davis before completing his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Midwestern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Kern Medical, where he trained in the care of diverse and medically complex patient populations.
Throughout his medical training, Dr. Palmbach has remained committed to serving underserved communities and improving access to healthcare. Prior to medical school, he volunteered with community outreach programs in Bakersfield, helping connect vulnerable populations with primary care and healthcare resources. He also gained valuable experience working in clinical research, microbiology, and orthopedic medicine at Kern Medical.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Palmbach has contributed to medical research and quality improvement initiatives focused on enhancing patient care and advancing medical knowledge. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and has been actively involved in projects designed to improve healthcare outcomes within the hospital system.
