Matthew Hannon, MD,FACS

About Dr. Hannon

Dr. Hannon is the Trauma Medical Director and the Chief of the Division of Acute Care Surgery at Kern Medical Center. He specializes in Trauma, Surgical Critical Care and Emergency General Surgery. He attended Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. He completed a General Surgery Residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. He then completed a Trauma and Surgical Critical Care fellowship at the University of Southern California+Los Angeles County Medical Center.

He served in the United States Navy for 24 years. During that time he completed two overseas assignments and multiple deployments, including three deployments to Afghanistan.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and holds membership in the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the Excelsior Surgical Society.
