Lev Libet, MD

About Dr. Libet

Dr. Libet is the residency director of the emergency medicine program. He graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor of Science in general biology and received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Libet completed his intern year in internal medicine at UCSD and residency in emergency medicine at Kern Medical where he served as chief resident. After residency training Dr. Libet pursued fellowship training in medical education at Harbor UCLA. He joined the faculty at Kern Medical in 2018.

As faculty, he served as the director of didactics, journal club and assistant program director. He is a reviewer and section editor for Clinical Practice and Cases in Emergency Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and Vice President of the California Chapter Division. He is also a member of the council of Residency Directors.

Dr. Libet is a health sciences assistant clinical professor at UCLA. He is an active member of numerous committees including graduate medical education committee, continuing medical education committee, liaison for the departments of medicine and psychiatry. Additionally, he has championed in situ simulation for the past several years.
