About Dr. Moon

Dr. Moon is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Kern Medical.

Dr. Moon completed his undergraduate schooling at UCLA and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Thereafter, Dr. Moon attended medical school at the prestigious Loma Linda University and completed General Surgery Residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital/Alleghany Health System. He subsequently finished a fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the internationally renowned Cleveland Clinic. Also, he obtained advanced training in Microsurgery and Hand Surgery at the prestigious Buncke Clinic.

Dr. Moon has an extensive background in Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive surgery, working directly in this field for 16 years. Dr. Moon specializes in complex reconstructions and performs a wide range of surgeries spanning from head to toe. Dr. Moon is Board Certified in both Plastic and General Surgery and holds a subspecialty certificate in Hand Surgery. Dr. Moon has contributed to a number of publications and is an experienced researcher. Dr. Moon has lectured and made presentations on a variety of topics related plastic and reconstructive surgery and is a trusted resource for his colleagues and patients.

Prior to joining the Kern Medical Team, Dr. Moon served for 9 years as an Associate Professor at the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Institute in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery/Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

His main goal is help people improve and live a better quality of life.
