The ER Experience
We are committed to providing you with the highest quality, most compassionate care and service, quickly and efficiently, from the moment you arrive.
We know how frustrating it can be to wait, especially when you’re in pain or not feeling well, and getting you treated as soon as possible is among our highest priorities. But, if you should have to wait for a while in our comfortably furnished waiting areas, we appreciate your understanding that we must stabilize and treat the most severely ill and injured patients first.
Our Emergency Department treats 45,000 patients each year, and we accept referrals from facilities from throughout the county. We have 6 trauma and medical resuscitation bays, 11 monitored beds, 4 respiratory isolation and gynecologic rooms, and a psychiatric observation room.
The department has two spiral, 64-slice CT scanners, and a dedicated X-ray suite on site, with imaging services available 24 hours a day.
Our highly skilled providers have state-of-the-art specialized expertise in tissue injury, burns, infections, acute inflammation, ischemia and surgical complications. Our board-certified critical care surgeons play an active role in coordinating the patient’s recovery and transition to non-critical care and therapy.
And, if one of our Emergency Department physicians determines that you need to be admitted to the hospital, we make every effort to get you settled into your room as soon as possible. If the specific type of room you need is not available, we’ll make you as comfortable as possible in the Emergency Department until your assigned room becomes available.
