Dr. Soorena Fatehchehr, MD, MSc is a Board-Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician and Advanced Minimally Invasive and Urogynecology Recounstructive Surgeon at Kern Medical.

Dr. Fatehchehr is a distinguished physician and is a Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Kern, He is sub-specialized in both Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery and Advanced Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery.

With an extensive educational background, Dr. Fatehchehr obtained his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, followed by internships and residencies at UCLA-Kern Medical Center and the University of Oklahoma. He has further honed his expertise through fellowships in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery.His commitment to advancing medical knowledge is evident through his Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Sciences and his numerous professional certificates and courses.

Dr. Fatehchehr is an expert in performing advanced minimally invasive and robotic surgeries for pelvic floor disorders and complex gynecological conditions like enlarged fibroids and ednometriosis. He is certified on the da Vinci robotic surgical platform as well as CO2 laser for laparoscopic excision of endometriosis.

Dr.Fatehchehr is a faculty memeber and scientific committe reviewer with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopist (AAGL) for the ast decade. He was elected to serve as Endometriosis and Reproductive Surgery board member at AAGL. Furthermore, Dr.Fatehchehr was elected to serve as chairman of Urogynecology and vaginal surgery at AAGL.

Throughout his career, Dr. Fatehchehr has been dedicated to research, with a focus on topics such as endometriosis, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary tract disorders. His extensive list of publications, abstracts, and presentations underscores his contributions to the field. Notably, he has received several teaching awards for his excellence in educating medical students and residents.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Fatehchehr enjoys a variety of hobbies, including hiking, swimming, skiing, and playing soccer. His dedication to both his patients and his personal interests reflects his well-rounded approach to life and medicine.
