Victor Sorensen, MD, FACS
Department of Surgery
Dr. Victor Sorensen joined the general surgery division at Kern Medical in 2006. He currently serves as Vice Chair of Surgery and Residency Program Director.
Dr. Sorensen was an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Nebraska in Omaha before coming to Kern Medical. He previously served as Senior Staff Surgeon in the Division of Trauma/Critical Care at the Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI, and at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Sorensen wears many hats at Kern Medical and provides critical senior leadership for the Department of Surgery and oversight of our highly regarded residency training program.
Dr. Sorensen has an interest in all aspects of general surgery and unique expertise in bariatric, trauma and critical care surgery.
