Ralph Garcia-Pacheco, MD
Critical Care Medicine
Dr. Ralph Garcia-Pacheco is a board-certified pulmonologist who also specializes in critical care medicine. He is Director of the Intensive Care Unit and of Pulmonary Ambulatory Care at Kern Medical.
Dr. Garcia-Pacheco earned his medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cavetano Heredia, Lima, Peru. After graduating he was Medical Division Head at Trifarma Laboratories in Lima. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, where he also holds a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine.
Dr. Garcia-Pacheco is Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit Director for Mercy Hospitals of Bakersfield and practices Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at GEMCare Medical Associates of Bakersfield. He also practiced Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at San Joaquin Valley Pulmonary Medical Group in Bakersfield.
He has participated in a diverse body of research projects in Lima and Detroit. He has also participated in investigational drug trials and various research studies. He is a member of the Peruvian College of Physicians, American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Garcia-Pacheco has served as a volunteer for the Volunteer Cabrini Clinic in Detroit.
