About Dr. Samarany

Dr. Samir Samarany, MD is a Cardiologist working in the Department of Medicine at Kern Medical. He received his degree from the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the Lebanese University in Beirut. His theses subject was Polymorphism of MIF gene and Tuberculosis. He completed his eighth year of general medicine at Dahr Al Bachek University Hospital, and worked in the ER for a year at Haroun Hospital in Zalka, Lebanon. He went on to complete 3 years of Residency and 1 year as Internal Medicine Chief Resident at the St. Raphael campus at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He then completed his 3 year Cardiology Fellowship at Yale Hospital.

Dr. Samarany is skilled in Level 2 Echocardiography in Transthoracic echocardiogram; Transesophageal echocariogram; Stress echocardiography and 3D echo. He also has skills with Level 2 Nuclear Medicine, Level 2 Cardiac CTA, and Level 2 Cardiac MRI. He’s a registered Physician in vascular ultrasound interpretation credential. He received his Board Certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2011. He has taught second and third year medical students at Yale University History and Physical Exam Skills, and has taught EKG lessons for several years.
