Paola Rosa, DO

About Dr. Rosa

Dr. Paola Rosa is a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist at Kern Medical. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology with Pre-Medical concentration at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Connecticut and was awarded the Summa Cum Laude honor.  She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.

After completing medical school, she served active duty in the USAF and completed her OB/GYN residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium at the San Antonio Military Medical Center.  She was then stationed in Misawa, Japan for two years at a Misawa Air Force military base. She completed her service with the USAF at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV in June 2020. There she served as an Assistant Professor to the UNLV School of Medicine, teaching fellow for the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences along with serving as the Nellis Air Force Base Family Residency OB/GYN Coordinator.  She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys becoming involved in local, national, and international communities and organizations. She has served as a Subject Matter Expert in Emergency Obstetric Care in the island of Fiji.

Dr. Rosa will be taking on the exiting role of Sub-Internship Clerkship Director at Kern Medical. She looks forward to teaching and promoting resident education in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

When not at work Dr. Rosa enjoys spending time with her husband and Yorkie. She loves working out, traveling, and hiking.
