About Dr. Cohen
Dr. Jeffrey Cohen is a neurologist at Kern Medical.
Dr. Cohen graduated from Summa cum Laude from Medical School at State University of New York-Down State. He received his Ph.D. in Psychobiology from Rutgers. He completed a postdoctoral Fellowsship in Neurobiology at The Rockefeller University. Additionally he completed a Fellowship in Epilepsy/EEG at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, where he also went through his Neurology Residency. He completed his internship at Beth Israel Medical Center.
Dr. Cohen holds medical licenses in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Montana, California and Arizona. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology with added qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology.
Dr. Cohen served as the National Medical Director and Senior Remote Monitoring Intraoperative Neurologist at SpecialtyCare in Nashville. He also served as the Director of the Adult Epilepsy Program & Clinical Neurophysiology at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel in New York. He was the Assistant Professor of Neurology at both Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Cohen sat on the Professional Advisory Board at Trigeminal Neuralgia Association and the Epilesy Foundation of New York. He was on the Annual Course Committee and Scientific Review Committee at the American Epilepsy Socity.
Dr. Cohen is a fellow at the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, a member of the American Academy of Neurology, a member of the American Society of Neuromonitoring, Society for Neurosicence, National Epilepsy Foundation, American Epilepsy Society, American Medical Association, and more. His areas of expertise include Spine Surgery, Brain Tumor Reserction, Epilepsy Surgery, Intracranial Vascular Surgery, Carotid Endarterectomy, Brachial Piexus & Peripheral Nerve Repair, and ICU EEG Monitoring (Coma, Hypothermia, and Status Epilepticus).
