About Dr. Heidari
Dr. Heidari is an Infectious Disease Physician at Kern Medical. He is part of the attending faculty at the hospital and outpatient clinics at Valley Fever institute and Stockdale clinic. Dr. Heidari graduated from Medical School in Iran. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Kern Medical. He went on to complete his Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Cedars-Sinai/UCLA Multi-Campus Program and is board certified in both internal medicine and infectious diseases.
He is the Program Director of the Infectious Disease Fellowship Program and prior to that served as Internal Medicine Associate Program Director for six years. He holds a Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor appointment with David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and is approved for promotion to Clinical Professorship.
Dr. Heidari plays an active role in Kern Medical’s committees. He currently is a member of Credentialing Committee, Medical Records Committee, Medicine/Med-Specialty Executive and Operations Committee, Covid-19 Investigational Task Force Committee, Valley Fever Institute Operations Committee and Resident Research Committee. He is Chair, Internal Medicine Subspecialty Evaluation Committee (SEC). He serves as Co-chair of the Internal Medicine Residents’ Clinical Competency Committee, Co-chair of Infection Control Committee and associate chair of the Institutional Review Board. In the past he served as president of the medical staff and chaired both the Medical Executive Committee and the Credentialing Committee.
He has additional vast administration experience at Kern Medical and serves as Director of the Subspecialty Internal Medicine Clinics, Director of the HIV Clinic, Director of Viral Hepatitis Clinic, Director of Infectious Disease Clinic, Director of Internal Medicine Residents’ Scholarly Activity and Associate Medical Director of Valley Fever Institute.
He is a member and Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is also a member and Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America. He is a board member of Infectious Disease Association of California (IDAC), member of IDAC CME Committee and currently serves as President of that organization.
Dr. Heidari has numerous publications and is activity involved in several research projects, partnering with National Institutes of Health and UCLA.
