Orestes A. Alvarez-Jacinto, MD

Dr. Orestes A. Alvarez-Jacinto is a highly experienced OB-GYN specialist who has practiced in Wisconsin and Miami in a career spanning more than 30 years.
Dr. Alvarez-Jacinto received his medical degree from East Central University School of Medicine (UCE) in the Dominican Republic, and completed a rotating externship in pediatrics at University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital. He completed his residency in surgical assistance and as house physician at Palm Springs General Hospital, with OB-GYN residencies at University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital.
He was in private practice in OB-GYN in Miami and later joined a multispecialty group practice in Fond Du Lac, Wis. Most recently he was on the medical staff at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, Wis.
Dr. Alvarez-Jacinto is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a recipient of the Mount Sinai Outstanding Resident Award for outstanding knowledge, skill, devotion, and courtesy during four years of resident training, as well as the Aspirus Hero’s Award. He is a published researcher, has served on a number of hospital committees.
Dr. Alvarez-Jacinto has also served as an assistant adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin and as a trainer of physician assistants and nurse practitioners. He holds memberships in State Medical Society of Wisconsin and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He is fluent in English and Spanish and has participated in medical missions in the Dominican Republic and India.
