Jonathan J. Russin, MD
Dr. Jonathan J. Russin is a neurosurgeon at Kern Medical. He is also an assistant professor of neurological surgery at the University of Southern California-Los Angeles and Associate Director at the Center for Neurorestoration in Los Angeles.
He holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Humanities degrees from Drew University. He received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in neurosurgery at the University of Southern California. He holds a fellowship in cerebrovascular and skull base neurosurgery at Barrow Neurosurgical Institute.
Dr. Russin is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), and the AANS Joint Cerebrovascular Section. He is a recipient of the Michael L.J. Apuzzo Research Award.
He has participated in the CNS Abstract Review/Selection Committee for the Cerebrovascular Section, the Student Family Health Care Clinic, and the Himalayan Health Exchange. He has been a lab coordinator for microvascular and skull base work.
He has contributed to numerous professional publications on a variety of clinical topics and has participated in various presentations and abstracts. His research is ongoing.
Dr. Russin was a second team Lacrosse selection for the All Middle Atlantic Conference Selection and earned the Eagle Scout award.
