David Wahba, MD
Department of Anesthesiology
Dr. David Wahba is an anesthesiologist who specializes in pain management.
He was previously at the Bakersfield Neuroscience and Spine Institute, and was employued with Rockford Anesthesia Associates in Rockford, Ill., before coming to Bakersfield.
Dr. Wahba has an associate degree in liberal arts from Long Beach Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in physiological science from UCLA. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.
He completed his internship in general surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and completed an unaccredited internship in orthopedic surgery at Cook County Hospital. He completed his residency at Cook County Hospital’s Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management, where he also holds a fellowhsip in pain medicine. He was a teacher assistant in the biological sciences department at Long Beach Community College.
Dr. Wahba has participated in a number of research projects as an assistant and a fellow, and he has contributed to various presentations. He has participated in a variety of educational workshops and served as student activities officer in Feinberg’s American Medical Student Association. He was also treasurer for Feinberg’s Lyola Davis Surgical Society. He was director of the Community College Transfer Student Program at UCLA.
He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Physicians Society of Interventional Pain and the Winnebago County Medical Society.
He enjoys soccer, reading and working out.
